Threshold

Threshold kept the momentum rolling after the recent talk at Solana’s conference, Breakpoint, where Brian Mahoney got into the details of bringing $tBTC to the Solana network. This week, he took the conversation to Istanbul, where DevConnect and ETHGlobal are currently going on.

Events

Hackers at ETHGlobal can participate in Threshold’s $5k USD bounty program, challenging participants to make the best Web3 applications featuring one of Threshold’s applications: tBTC, TACo, or thUSD.

$tBTC Data

$tBTC volume on Solana flipped the volume on Ethereum network! This highlights the demand for a decentralized tokenized $BTC in DeFi, especially on a high-performance chain like Solana.

Governance

Finally, in governance news, TIP-063 was passed (with a 100% yes vote rate) to drop support for legacy staking. Details can be found here in the full proposal.

Taho

Subscape Announcement

Taho’s biggest event came at the end of the week, announcing a new realm in Subscape, and a decision for questers to make during next week’s events. This was followed by the discovery of a small bug in XP distribution that is currently being worked on. The team is answering any questions that come up in the Discord.

Fold had a big update this week, announcing a State of the Union of the Fold program in their blog post.

Exciting updates to come:

• Joint accounts for family members.

• 100s more merchant offers.

• More ways to buy and earn bitcoin without fees.

• Bitcoin buying support for New York and Texas residents.

A fun social campaign took place this week, with Fold users sharing a stat of how much the price of $BTC has risen since they joined Fold. One user, showing a 15,339% increase, sparked a thread about the history of Fold.

It shows how far we have come in Fold and Bitcoin use cases. Here’s to another successful and eventful 9 years.

Thesis Defense

Thesis Defense is a blockchain auditing firm founded and staffed by highly experienced crypto security professionals.

Remaining aligned with the ethos of Thesis, Thesis Defense is creating the Defense Security Standard, a crypto auditing methodology that is rigorous, standardized, and repeatable. Their goal is to enhance blockchain security to foster the global adoption of decentralized technology.

Keep 

Keep and Threshold had a jam-packed week last week, from the official launching of the tBTC/USD price feed on Pyth to an in-depth conversation at the Solana Breakpoint conference about bringing tBTC to Solana.

@PythNetwork has officially launched a tBTC/USD price feed, making the feed available on more than 40 blockchains.

BoringSecDAO held a free Web3 security course for Threshodlers on November 5th.

LlamaRisk conducted an in-depth collateral risk review of Threshold’s tBTC, tokenized Bitcoin bridged to Ethereum, which has a $crvUSD market.

TIP-062 | TACo (Threshold Access Control) added as Threshold application + Lock-up Bonus + PRE folded into TACo has passed with 100% “Yes” votes.
